This year has been a busy year for Forest Inventory. It started with some work resulting from Storm Arwen which flattened some significatant areas of forest in Northumberland.
We also added to our equipment the DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced which gives the business a thermal image capability and has potential in wildlifew monitoring and in helping with mopping up wildfire hotspots which unfortunately are on the increase.
Peatland survey
This year has also seen us providing aerial mapping data to assist in peatland restoratin survey for clients. It has seen a good amout of walking cross moorlands and the addition of the DJI D-RTK2 base station to enable accurace surveys where no mobile phone signal is present.
